The Parish of Boherlahan-Dualla are celebrating the Bicentenary of Boherlahan Catholic Church from Friday the 26th of June to Sunday the 28th of June. To open the weekend, on Friday evening, Archbishop Kieran O’Reilly will celebrate Mass and each of the three parish schools will do a presentation at it. Light refreshments will be served afterwards.On Saturday, there will be a series of talks at various religious sites around the parish:

-Gaile Graveyard
-Ardmayle Graveyard
-Bianconi Park
-Ballysheehan and Ballykelly
-Ballytarsna
-Kilballyherbery Graveyard

Vigil Mass will be celebrated.

On Sunday the 28th of June people are asked to come to 11 o’clock Mass in period costumes from the past 200 years. Groups will cross through the old mass-paths in the parish to the church and all are being asked to travel to Mass using the old means; on foot, on bicycle. pony and trap, horse and carriage, horseback, vintage car etc.

After Mass, we will host a parish picnic on the grounds of Bianconi Park where all are invited to bring their own hamper and flask. John Purcell of “The Good Herdsman” will also be there providing burgers on the barbecue. We ask everyone to get involved to celebrate 200 years of parish life.
